Course Description

The skill of listening is one that's difficult to acquire, difficult to use, but one of the most valuable skills we can possibly learn and use, in and out of the workplace. This training session will teach why it's important to listen well, how to avoid distractions, how to stay engaged in what someone is saying, and how to get the most out of a conversation through good listening skills.

Goals & Objectives

The participant will be able to define engaged listening.
The participant will identify reasons why people don’t listen or have difficulty listening.
The participant will identify techniques and skills to become an engaged listener.
The participant will gain an understanding of how to respond to others in different types of situations and conversations.
